Founded in Hong Kong in 2010 by curator and art advisor May Wong, Above Second has evolved through more than fifteen years of international exhibitions, artist collaborations, and creative projects across Asia and the United States.
Over the course of her career, Wong has curated and produced more than 50 exhibitions featuring internationally recognized contemporary artists including El Mac, Retna, Hebru Brantley, D*Face, Nick W, Alec Monopoly, Sandra Chevrier, Tristan Eaton, and many others. Her experience spans artist representation, public art, private collections, hospitality projects, brand collaborations, and large-scale cultural initiatives.
Today, Above Second is a Miami-based contemporary art advisory and creative consultancy specializing in art placement, artist sourcing, mural commissions, hospitality art programs, corporate collections, residential curation, and site-specific creative projects.
We connect exceptional contemporary artists with collectors, developers, hospitality groups, architects, interior designers, brands, and cultural institutions seeking spaces with meaning, character, and a distinct point of view. Working with a global network of multidisciplinary artists, we curate projects that respond to the unique needs of each client and environment.
From concept and artist selection to production, logistics, and installation, we oversee every stage of the process.
