About
Winneke de Groot & Felix van Dam — a Dutch multimedia art collective building a globally recognized visual language from their Utrecht studio.
Over the last decade, the duo has spent their time on intensive artist residencies in New York and Japan to international gallery exhibitions. Known for their prolific production across multiple disciplines, the collective seamlessly balances fine art painting and tactile ceramics with their signature, highly sought-after print editions.
Creative Ethos
Their practice centers on the elevated reinterpretation of the mundane — a vibrant visual archive of everyday life, inspired by the overlooked aesthetics of global travel, local grocery packaging, tinned foods, and daily ephemera.
By deconstructing ordinary consumer goods down to their core graphic components, de Groot and van Dam transform trivial objects into bold, celebratory compositions — utilizing striking color combinations, irregular hand-cut shapes, and intentional graphic misregistrations. This analog approach acts as a direct challenge to digital uniformity, injecting spaces with warmth, nostalgia, and authentic human spirit.
