Space Intent

Work In Progress transformed a decommissioned Swire Properties office building into a temporary cultural landmark, bringing together some of the most influential names in contemporary street and urban art. Spanning the loading bay and an entire 30,000-square-foot 13th floor, the exhibition showcased site-specific murals, installations, and interventions that highlighted the diverse styles, techniques, and visual languages of each participating artist while responding directly to the architecture of the space. Curated by Above Second, the project united an international roster of artists, creating one of the largest street art exhibitions ever presented in Asia. Drawing more than 1,400 visitors on opening night, Work In Progress demonstrated the growing impact of contemporary urban art within Hong Kong's evolving cultural landscape while reimagining a commercial building as a platform for creative experimentation and public engagement.
