Space Intent
The exhibition is co-curated by Jessica Goldman Srebnick, marking a high-profile partnership that brings elite, brand-first creative direction into the core team at Goldman Global Arts. Installed across both the GGA Gallery and the Wynwood Walls Museum, the exhibition investigates how global street culture responds to a world in constant flux, using identity, memory, and physical presence to reshape modern public spaces. At the absolute center of ONLY HUMAN is a historic cultural milestone: the first collaborative canvases and site-specific public murals by legendary artists El Mac (Miles MacGregor) × RETNA (Marquis Lewis) in over a decade. In the early days of Miami's Wynwood district, their combined work set the visual tone for the entire neighborhood. Ten years later, this reunion bridges the gap between fine art studio practice and monumental public scale, seamlessly uniting RETNA's architectural, rhythmic calligraphy with El Mac's deep, reverent portraiture. Alongside the headlining El Mac × RETNA reunion, ONLY HUMAN features an elite roster of artists who helped define the visual vocabulary of global street culture, including Shepard Fairey, Hebru Brantley, PichiAvo, Ron English, Martin Whatson, ABSTRK, COPE2, Cryptik, Lauren YS, and Tatiana Suarez. Now embedded full-time within the institutional framework of Goldman Global Arts, Above Second delivers this exhibition as the ultimate proof of concept for modern developers, hospitality groups, and brands. By engineering historic creative milestones and providing direct access to untouchable global talent, the partnership demonstrates how authentic, human-centric art is leveraged to transform physical spaces into premier global destinations.
